Fine art on skin

Over 10 years of expertise in realism and portrait tattoos, creating custom, one-of-a-kind designs that fit you perfectly

The artist

Hi! I’m Laaps- Oslo based tattoo artist specializing in portraits and realism.

I am not the average tattoo artist. I have honed my realism tattoo skills for more than 10 years. And I’m academically educated for this specific style of ink. Thousands of customers, a few seminars, and 3 years in the world’s leading realism painting academy, The Florence Academy of Art, have made me one of Norway’s best artists in the style.

It has always been exciting to me to create highly detailed, striking pieces of art. I work closely with the customer, often designing straight on the skin to make sure that the piece harmonizes and accentuates the body. I use only the latest and safest tools in the business, combined with the latest hygiene guidelines.

Art That Lives on skin

A tattoo is an art form that exists as long as its wearer does, making it unique and invaluable.
I believe tattooing is one of the most complex and responsible art forms, where precision, depth, and meaning come together in every line.

I am currently located in one of the  best tattoo shops in Oslo- Element Tattoo.

What my customers say

Frequently ask
questions

What should I avoid doing after getting a tattoo?

Avoid direct sunlight, swimming pools, hot tubs, and saunas until your tattoo is fully healed. Don’t pick at scabs or scratch the area, as this can damage the tattoo. Also, avoid tight clothing that could rub against the tattoo and irritate the skin. I’ll provide you with detailed instructions tailored to your tattoo, but in general, avoid direct sunlight, swimming, or scratching the area while it heals.

Are there any restrictions or recommendations for getting a tattoo?

Yes, there are a few. For your safety, avoid getting tattooed if you're sick, pregnant, or nursing. If you’re on medications or have health conditions, let me know so I can assess any potential risks. Also, plan your tattoo around major events where healing time might be a factor.

How long does a typical tattoo session take?

Session length depends on the complexity and size of the tattoo. I usually book full or half day sessions. Half a day is usually 3-4h, and a full day is 5-7h of tattooing. The preparation, setting up and cleaning off requires additional time, so please don’t plan anything that day if you have booked a full day session. I’ll give you an estimate during our consultation.

Does getting a tattoo hurt, and how much pain should I expect?

Tattoo pain varies depending on factors like placement, size, and your personal tolerance. While some areas of the body are more sensitive, most clients describe the sensation as uncomfortable rather than unbearable. My goal is to ensure you're as comfortable as possible throughout the process.

How do I choose the right design for my tattoo?

Choosing the right design starts with reflecting on what’s meaningful to you—whether it's a personal story, an aesthetic style, or a specific subject matter. Bring your ideas, references, or even a rough concept, and I'll work with you to create a design that matches your vision and resonates with your personality.

How much does a tattoo cost?

The tattoo price is a complex matter. I have simplified it and charge 10000NOK for a full day and 5000NOK for a half day. That is a pretty average pricing for Oslo. The quality I offer is above average though.

Book your session to bring your vision to life. Together, we’ll create a one-of-a-kind piece that reflects your style and story.
